Why I am running to represent you

Dear Concerned Arizonan,

The current Legislative District 30 representatives are not representing me, or the voters who supported me in 2008, but the saddest fact is that they are not representing the best interests of the voters who supported them.

I am running because the budget cuts don't make sense. Why cut fraud investigators and leave our citizens high and dry? Why cut those who collect our revenues? Why are our representatives making bad decisions that are making a bad situation worse?

I am running because our current Legislative District 30 representatives are destroying public education and hurting our kids. Because of their bad decisions, there will be fewer teachers and bigger classes. Basic supplies like paper and books will be in short supply. Gutting our education will cost our children and our state amounts which dwarf any benefit of short term saving.

I am running because of the unconscionable cutting of support systems to veterans at a time when we should be increasing support to our bravest men and women. I continue to listen to thoughtful voters of every party and they keep telling me that we have to fight for southern Arizona and not destroy it. You deserve an independent voice to be your representative. I will not be a puppet for those in Phoenix

It was my honor to be a candidate for Legislative District 30 Representative in 2008. Starting with zero name recognition and with the help of so many, I received 48,966 votes which set the record for votes received in Arizona for state Representative by any candidate of my party. Families and the future of Arizona are more important than any political party and I look forward to serving you in the years ahead with Sound Policy over Politics.

Actions speak louder than words. In the coming months, I will be revealing how the current representatives betrayed the people they are suppose to represent.
